Ted Blaszak
President

A recognized leader in signature gathering reform, Ted has been
instrumental in the fight to clean up the initiative process. He
is frequently called upon to provide expert testimony before
state legislatures and has served on numerous legislative
committees to draft and enact reform minded laws.
Ted has also worked on the front lines as an agent for the
Oregon Secretary of State and other clients, leading teams to
document the rampant abuse that plagues direct democracy.
Besides overseeing the daily operations of Democracy Resources,
Ted volunteers for his children's school, gardens, and builds
catapults. He and his wife Debra reside in Milwaukie, OR with
their two children and an occasional cat. |

Phillip James
Vice President of Systems

Born on the Gulf Coast of Alabama, Phillip attended Auburn
University before relocating to Oregon in the waning days of the
20th century. Since then he's accumulated over a decade's worth
of experience organizing grassroots campaigns and developing
field strategies for a wide range of progressive candidate and
issue campaigns. By combining the latest technological advances
and microtargeting techniques with traditional field strategies,
he's developed a unique approach to voter outreach that's proven
successful in communities from Portland, Oregon to Portland,
Maine.

Drew Chilton
Legal Counsel

Experienced attorney Drew Chilton has helped us craft legal
strategies to effectively provide all the tools necessary to
protect the democratic process from those who would abuse it.
Drew is a graduate of North Carolina State University and Lewis
& Clark Law School. Drew has extensive experience before the
appeals courts, including landmark civil liberties cases before
the Oregon Supreme Court. |

Kyndall Mason
Director of Field Operations

Kyndall first started with Democracy Resources during 2002 with
the Raise Minimum wage and Initiative Integrity ballot measure
campaigns. After six years of resource management in non-profit
social services she became the Public Education Coordinator at
Basic Rights Oregon. She is excited to be back with Democracy
Resources, utilizing her organizing skills.
Kyndall received her
bachelors in 2001 from Western Washington University and lives
in north Portland with her partner and a chug named Quimby. |
